Fundraising

Fundraising is an important part of scouting. Let me explain why this is important.

Popcorn and Camp Card sales not only help fund our Pack, but funds flow all the way up to our District and beyond which helps fund programs like Cub Scout Day Camp and other scouting programs. I will be more than happy to tell you the difference a week in Cub Scout Day Camp makes when you have a budget to work with and when you do not (as I learned this month in Cub Scout camp).
A Scout is Thrifty. A scout works to pay his way. Selling popcorn and camp cards teach our scouts the value of earning their way to camp, or to help their pack pay for a camp trip or even for that coveted prize they will receive from the Popcorn prize sheet. It also helps to cover the administrative costs we have as a pack for Blue and Gold, camp, achievement awards etc.
